Harford's Sulphur
Colias harfordii
Apparently only occurs in Monterey County during invasion years, as in 2011-12 However there are occasional possible sightings reported in southwest county near the San Luis Obispo County line.

Annual surveys are recommended, especially along the South Coast Ridge Road, and in the lowlands just to the east; also along the Parkfield-Coalinga Road above Parkfield.

May 16 2023: possible sightings along Parkfield crest near county line, however orange sulphurs werte also flying, so this sighting is unconfirmed.

- South Coast Ridge Road - also try along the upper end of Nacimiento Rd
- Parkfield Grade - the upper end
- Southeast county - try back roads near the county line
